Please remember that kids do not need to bring their instruments tomorrow. Please see the notes below on some of the poetic devices that we will be learning over the course of our poetry unit.  Students will be tested on these notes next week. Watch for the notice coming home tomorrow outlining what our day will look like at the beach on Friday, May 25th.

Today students had a strong debrief circle, whereby we had solid discussion to further enhance our class dynamic in a positive way.  I would like to thank all of the students for participating in a meaningful way. Please remember that Friday, as part of our Aboriginal Education Week, we will be going down to Bonniebrook Beach for the full day.  Students will need to bring a bagged lunch, as we will be down at the beach over lunch and will not return until the end of the day. Students do NOT need to bring their band instruments on Thursday. Thanks again to all who helped to make the camping trip a great success.  ðŸ˜Š

Just a reminder that we are bringing tents to school tomorrow to practice putting up and taking down. Students should also bring their food/coolers/ice to pack up.  I am still looking for a parent driver with a truck to collect up the equipment tomorrow afternoon. Students also still need their band instruments tomorrow, as we will be practicing for our year end concert June 13th.

Please remember to wear a white top and black bottoms tomorrow for Band Blast. We will leave here at 9:00am sharp. The movie this afternoon was a great discussion starter for topics that are often not talked about in great detail.  It offered examples of tolerance and grappling with online bullying issues. I will have information regarding the upcoming camping trip for you on Friday.  Students will also have their required food lists for camping by Friday. We are hoping for sunshine next week!

Just a reminder to all students, we will meet at the Langdale ferry terminal tomorrow morning at 7:55am. You may wish to bring a clean T-shirt for after archery tag and a small hand towel to brush the sand off of your feet. See you in the morning!

Homework: 1) Science Fair Projects are now due.  Students will present on Thursday, May 3rd. 2) Students will want to prepare for this coming Friday's trip to Shannon's house: survivor supplies will be trekked by foot to her property. 3) Tomorrow is the last day to hand in permission forms for Month Without Walls.
