Tuesday February 19th 2019

Today we continued working on our Ötzi stories.  Tomorrow will be our last time with computers to finish the stories.  The Ötzi stories will be due on Thursday, February 28th 2019.

Today we also covered some conversational French around what we and others were wearing.

Homework:

Please remember that subtraction of integers math journals are now due.

Please bring your band instruments tomorrow!  I am excited to make some music.

Please bring in your permission forms for the Vancouver trip Thursday.  Tomorrow is the last day that I can accept the forms.

 Please remember to bring in your reading logs this week!  New ones were handed out today.  Just a reminder that students are expected to read 30 minutes each night in improve their fluency in both reading and writing.  Plus, it is just a good workout for the mind. Good Morning Division 1! Today I will be unavailable to connect with you.  Sadly, I am attending my grandfather’s funeral, who passed away in April.  We had to wait until now to have a small family gathering.  We are relieved to be able to celebrate his life, together in person, even if still physically distanced.  This pandemic has impacted us all, good, bad, and sad.  And, I have a great deal of hope for our future and know that this will pass.  Chin up!  Have a fabulous weekend. Good Morning Division 1! If you are coming to school this next week, please make sure you have pre-arranged your attendance with the office.  Remember to dress for the weather.  We will be spending as much time outside as possible.  Bring snacks and a lunch that is "picnic style".  You will pack out what you pack in.  In other words, you will take your garbage/recycling home with you and will need your own utensils if necessary.  Bring a water bottle, full.   Please make sure you also bring your school supplies back with you.  We will also be doing some writing, math, and crafts.  I look forward to seeing your faces in person!
