Thanks to everyone for a FABULOUS Halloween Fun Fair!!  You were amazing!!  Our school was incredibly well served by you.  Congratulations on a job well done!! Please remember that if you are off to the Sugar Bowl that you need plenty of water, layers for inevitable hots and colds and a hearty lunch with lots of snacks.  If you are staying at school, just bring a positive attitude and sense of humour. Be safe tonight everyone!! Happy Halloween!!

Please remember, grade 7s, you need to bring your instruments tomorrow.  Grade 6s do not as Halloween Fun Fair will conflict with their band time. Please remember that it is Halloween Fun Fair tomorrow.  Division 1 will be involved in an act of service.  Costumes can be worn, but cannot conflict with actually working at the fair.  Costumes will have to come off if they prohibit the acts of service students are expected to provide. Last call grade 7s to get your Sugar Bowl notices in, before we offer your spots to grade 6s. Remember to grab a poppy if you're out and about.

Dear Parents, Today we had a grade seven meeting with students regarding a social media occurrence that happened outside of school hours.  I ask that we please be vigilant about what happens on personal electronic devices as they have the potential to greatly impact our Cedar Grove Community and the aftermath can be carried into and impact the school day and the learning that is scheduled to take place.  Please speak with your child for more information about our class conversation.  I hope to see you all at the Division 1 and 2 parent evening scheduled for this coming Wednesday October 16th at 7:00pm. Grade 6 students were sent home with immunization information and consent forms.  I will be happy to collect forms at your earliest convenience. Please feel free to come to visit me and the classroom tonight from 5:00pm - 5:30pm and then join the Cedar Grove community for hot chocolate. Thanks again to all of those who brought their band instruments today.  It is really important that we form this habit early in the year.  Tuesdays and Thursdays are band days. Well done to everyone who came to school today, after the big hike up Steele.  You are strong, courageous, and awesome!! Parents, if you sew and are free tomorrow afternoon from 1:00pm - 2:20pm, please feel free to join me and the kids.  Extra hands would most definitely be welcome!!

The early crew will meet at 6:45am in the front parking lot and the regular timed crew at 7:30am. Please check the notice that was sent home today with information about rides and clothing suggestions. It looks like the weather may hold off on the rain until after we've reached the summit, but everyone should dress in case the rains make an appearance.
