 Happy Friday!! Please remember the following responsibilities for next week: 1) Bring in your reading log, signed by your parents, on Monday.  The expectation is that you read for 30 minutes each night and have your parent sign off on this. 2) You will have a math test on more fractions next week.  You will need to practice the following types of questions: 3) Your poetry project is due on Tuesday!  Please see the handout below for guidance on the expectations. Also, try to recall all of the different discussions we've had about what the poetry project entails.

 Please remember to continue with your reading log practice.  Each day you are expected to read for 30 minutes and have your parents sign off on this.  This will be handed in on Monday of next week. Students did well on their landforms test! If you are unsure about fractions (equivalent, mixed numbers, improper, adding with unlike denominators, simplifying), please make sure that you are advocating for yourself.  Ask for an extra practice sheet to take home, or try these questions below: Your poetry projects will be due on Monday.   Please note that I have extended the due date.  You will have class time to work on these over the next couple of days. Please remember that we have an author visit by Robin Stevenson coming up next Thursday.  Please feel free to take out one of her books if you are interested!

 Welcome Back and Happy Monday!! Please remember to bring in your signed reading logs from last week.  A big thanks to those of you who did!  An oopsie to me for not handing out a new one.  I'll make sure it comes your way tomorrow! Remember that your math sheet was for homework if you did not complete it in math.  Please see the assignment below (#2-7 and cross off 6c) if you forgot yours at school: Today we refreshed the poetry project that is due on Friday, January 22nd.  We will begin really documenting our poetic devices in our work throughout the week.  Please make sure that you have really established the meanings and examples of the poetic devices we have studied. Please also remember to consider what storybook character you are going to dress up as next week!
