Good Morning Division 1!
I really enjoyed catching up with you this week. It sounds like you are making the most of this tricky time in which we are living. Many of you are continuing to practice your athletic skills and getting a healthy dose of time outside. This is wonderful. As well, many of you are keeping your minds fresh, playing board games, cards, reading, writing, baking, and creating artistic masterpieces, be they visual or the performing arts. I commend you and your families for maintaining a sense normal and routine. Well done you!
Keep this up. Help your parents with some chores in and around the house. Clean your room, or another area of the house. Cook supper for your family (check this with your parents first if you think they might mind) and then clean up after yourself. Help out with entertaining a younger sibling and get along while you are doing it. They will be happy because it takes something off of their plates and you will feel a sense of accomplishment because it gives you a sense of purpose and it feels good to help others.
If you are able and if your parents say it's okay, please try to obtain an email account by Wednesday of next week. You and I will be able to maintain another form of communication if you can access me by email.
I love that you are spending so much time outside, working in gardens, playing, making up new games, and being creative. I suggest spending as much time outside as possible. When the weather does not allow this, I have some links posted below to keep up some of your numeracy and literacy skills. These are not the only resources, but are some that I have found useful. Keep well over the weekend and I will look forward to touching base with you all next week!😁
