Good Morning Division 1!

Remember that tomorrow (Wednesday) we will have a Zoom call.  This call will be in small groups.  Please see your email for the link to the call and for the people in your group.  Please note that this is optional and is a just for checking in.  If you are going to attend, please consider the following riddles below ahead of time so that you are prepared to speak about them and share how you tried to solve them:

1)    A boy has as many sisters as brothers, but each sister has only half as many sisters as brothers… How many sons and daughters do the parents of the boy have?
2)

Please check your inbox for the invitation.  If you have your own email account, I will send it to you directly.  The questions above will be just one of our discussion points.  I look forward to seeing your faces!!

Shape of the Day – Tuesday

8:30 - 8:50am – Record your sleep patterns.

8:50 – 9:00am – Stretch break.  Listen to one or two of your favourite songs and move around.

9:00 – 10:15am – Math – Check the Math Page and if interested, click on the other sites I’ve linked for more choice.  Or, work through the two questions above for the zoom call tomorrow.

10:15 – 11:15 – Go Outside.  Be active.  Be mindful.
Don’t forget, if you’d like to participate in the Scavenger Rock Hunt, it began yesterday.
Have a look at the rocks below:

Check in on the Choices Activity Page for more details!

11:15 – 12:00 – Science  or  Social Studies – I’ve posted a couple of interesting documentaries you might wish to watch on the social studies page.  Perhaps watching one of these documentaries, or one of your own choosing, will spark a science fair question.  Sometimes, when we least expect it, an interesting wonder comes to mind.  I often find this happens while I’m watching a documentary.  Though you may find this surprising, science and social studies share many commonalities!

12:00 – 1:00 – Lunch Break

1:00 – 2:00 – Language Arts.  Remember to check the Language Arts Page.  The theme this week for Creative Writing is THE OCEAN.

2:00 – 2:30 – Choice Activity – Head to the Choice Activity page and go for it!  Remember, acts of service are ALWAYS welcome.  Check out Mr Tulz’s Nature Art video posted on the Choice page.

Remember to breathe for three minutes.  Focus only on your breathing.  If a thought comes into your head, let it be with no judgment, and then go back to your breathing.  With each breath in and out, remind yourself that it is good to breathe.  When your three minutes are up, enjoy the space you created in your mind.

You got this!
